My road name is Law Dog; I have been a NABSTMC member since 2001. I ride a 2001 Harley-Davidson carbureted Fat Boy that I bought in
September, 2000 within 14 days after it was manufactured. I now have more than 30,000 on my bike. I rode all but three of those miles myself.
I retired from the U.S. Army in January 2001 as a First Sergeant. I was also a Drill Sergeant and many other Sergeants before retiring. In
April 2001, I petitioned the state of Georgia Mother Chapter for my own membership in that chapter. The Mother Chapter in turn authorized me to start my own chapter in Augusta, GA which was more than 150 miles from its headquarters in Atlanta.
The Augusta, GA Chapter soon flourished to twenty members which included nine members from Savannah, Georgia. In March 2005, the nine members
from Savannah were sanctioned by the Mother Chapter to start a chapter in Savannah, GA.
When I moved to Hawaii in October 2002, I rode solo for a few years. But I considered myself a roving ambassador to the NABSTMC while contemplating the inauguration of a new chapter in Hawaii. In August 2006 after deliberation with the national council, I became the Founder and President of the Hawaii chapter of the NABSTMC. I am accompanied by Diamond, my gorgeous wife and First Lady who makes my life complete. My goal is to promote the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers of yesteryear while simultaneously promoting a positive image of black bikers today.
